Throughout this summer, I worked with Kentucky Youth Advocates as a Child Welfare Policy Intern. I focused on building my knowledge of non-profit advocacy work, the policy-making process, and community partnerships. Many of my internship projects explored the effects of childhood trauma and building resilience in response to such experiences.
