Congressional Press Intern

My internship was a Congressional Internship that took place in Washington DC through the office of Senator Mitch McConnell, the Senior Senator from Kentucky and the Senate Minority Leader. My official internship designation was the Press Intern which involved various tasks assisting the Press Secretary including tracking current news and policy, attending press events, and working on various press releases. I was also allowed to interview various Congressional leaders and staff to better understand how life is like working on the hill and how the government truly operates.
