MHHI Intern

I participated in the urban portion of the Medical Health Humanities Institute this summer, which involved classroom discussions on health care disparities with a focus on incorporating the humanities. This internship also included on-site experience at Christ Community Health Services and Room in the Inn-Memphis. We each completed a final presentation on a challenge we saw while on site, and mine was on the difficulty of experiencing a language barrier when giving or receiving health care.
