Equine Care and Barn Management Intern

For this internship I did my work in person by meeting my supervisor at the barn every morning. Over Centre Term 2021 I helped participate in daily grooming of the horses boarding at Meadow Lake, I watched training rides, I trained a boarder named Royal using the pessoa lunging technique, and I actively participated in the annual Vet visit days with Dr. Friend and staff from Rood and Riddle Equine Medicin by holding heads for dental examinations and watching vaccine administration.
